Terms & Conditions

All quotes are provided with the following terms and conditions. By accepting a quote, purchasing product or booking a job, you agree to comply to the terms and conditions as set out here.

Once a quote has been accepted PVC Fences will issue an invoice and require a 50% deposit to confirm the order, and/or installation. The remaining balance is to be paid in full before delivery of product, or within 3 days of completion of installation. Ownership of the product supplied will not be passed to the customer until payment has been made in full to H&S Group, trading as PVC Fences.

Pricing shall be as set by PVC Fences, either as displayed in their catalogue, or as invoiced to the customer. Pricing quoted to the customer shall be valid for 30 days from the date issued. The customer acknowledges that PVC Fences does not have to honor quoted pricing after the 30 day period has lapsed.

In the event that the customer fails to pay, they will incur a 10% interest fee on the outstanding balance. Further failure to pay may require the services of a debt collection agency. The customer agrees to cover the costs, legal or otherwise, incurred in the process of enforcing payment. Further to this, any product installed remains the property of H&S Group, trading as PVC Fences, and as such may be removed from the location of installation following serious failure to pay in full. Product warranty shall also be void until payment is recieved in full.

Unless discussed prior and noted in the quote provided, it is the customer's responsibility to acquire any permits related to the property or job. The customer also agrees that they will notify PVC Fences about any restrictions related to the property or job site.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that all work marked out is within the property boundary lines, and agrees to inspect and confirm the marked fence line before work commences. The customer shall responsible for any issues arising from the postion of the fence and/or gates and any claims that arise from it.

On commencing site work as agreed by both parties, and in accordance with the quoted work, the customer agrees to provide water and electricity if required for the job. PVC Fences will provide their own equipment to use with an outside tap, or an extension power cable for electricity.

PVC Fences general work practice is to allow 10 minutes per post-hole with a mechanical post-borer. The quoted work makes no allowance for underground obstructions such as large rocks or tree roots that hinder installation. Removal of such items may incur an additional removal fee. PVC Fences agrees it will notify the customer before any unquoted work commences, and what the cost would be.

All site work is based on the assumption that the area of work will be clear of any obstructions. At a preliminary site visit, a representative of PVC Fences will assess the site for any potential obstructions, and discuss with the customer what their obligations to clear the site will be. If the installation team arrives to find the job site is not clear and unobstructed, the customer agrees to pay an additional labor fee per hour of work taken to clear the site. If the customer chooses, they may contract PVC Fences as part of the quoted work to clear the site for a set fee.

The customer is responsible for removing any movable furniture, potted plants, ornaments, lights, or other equipment that may be in the area of the job site. PVC Fences will not be liable for damages that occur if the customer fails to remove their items.

Before work commences, the customer accepts responsibility to acquire and provide in writing (or through site plans) any underground obstructions that may impact the job site. These include, but are not limited to, electrical or other cables, water, waste, or gas pipelines, or any other service facility that may pose a risk or obstruction. The customer agrees that PVC Fences, their representatives, employees or contractors are not liable for any damages that occur due to undisclosed underground obstructions, and that the customer has full responsibility for any costs or repair that is necessitated from damages incurred in such a situation.

PVC Fences uses standard construction components, and will strive to meet the nomitated fence height as closely as possible. The customer acknowledges that fence heights are nominal, and that the final fence height may vary slightly due to undulating ground or standard construction component sizing. Fence height is measured from the bottom of the paling or picket to the top of the fence. PVC Fences and it's representatives will notify customers where there will be a large difference in the desired outcome, and will work with the customer to find a solution - in some cases, due to terrain, obstructions or other factors, this may add on additional cost. PVC Fences and their representative will always notify customers of additional costs in advance. Where there is a large gap beneath the fence line, a PVC Fence representative will work with the customer to determine how they want this to be resolved, and whether there will be an additional cost to do so.

PVC Fences will remove any unused or offcut construction components, packaging and tools on completion of the job. PVC Fences is not responsible for the removal and disposal of any excess soil, rocks or other natural debris resulting from the excavation work, neither are we responsible for removing any plants that were removed on the customer's request. When PVC Fences removes an existing fence system, the customer can arrange for it to be removed and disposed for a fee, and this will be included in the quotation and invoice.

In addition to any statutory requirements, the fence systems supplied and installed by PVC Fences are guaranteed for their specific warranty period against defects in quality of workmanship or materials, and any major warping or failure of materials. This guarantee applies only to the original purchaser/owner who entered the contract with PVC Fences, and the warranty is not transferrable. Warranty is subject to claims being lodged with PVC Fences in writing, within seven days of the first appearance of a defect or failure of materials. PVC Fences reserves the right to repair, replace or make good any labor or materials need to resolve the claim and fulfill this guarantee.

If any of the aforementioned points are contrary to any New Zealand law or regulation, then that specific point shall be be invalid and will defer to the law or regulation that rules it invalid. The remaining points shall remain in force.
